CTET February 2026 : Eligibility Details

CTET Primary Level Class 1 to 5

🎓 CTET 2026 Educational Qualification (Paper-I)

To appear in CTET February 2026 (Paper-I), candidates must meet any one of the following qualifications:

✅ 1. Senior Secondary + D.El.Ed (50% Marks)

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

✅ 2. Senior Secondary (45%) + D.El.Ed (As per NCTE 2002 Norms)

  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Must be in accordance with National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) 2002 Norms

 ✅ 3. Senior Secondary (50%) + B.El.Ed

  • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

✅ 4. Senior Secondary (50%) + Diploma in Education (Special Education)

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

✅ 5. Graduation (50%) + B.Ed

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) with minimum 50% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

👉 Important Condition:
Candidates who have completed B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution will be eligible for appointment as a Primary Teacher (Classes I–V). However:

  1. They must complete a 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education
  2. The bridge course must be recognized by NCTE
  3. It must be completed within two years of appointment.

✅ 6. Post Graduation (55%) + Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed

  • Post Graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 3-Year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed Programme.
CTET Junior Level (Class 6 to 8)

🎓 CTET 2026 Educational Qualification (Paper-II)

To appear in CTET February 2026 Paper-II, candidates must fulfill any one of the following eligibility conditions:

✅ 1. Graduation + 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education

  • Graduation Degree
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) (by any recognized name)

✅ 2. Graduation / Post Graduation (50%) + B.Ed

  • At least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

✅ 3. Graduation (45%) + 1-Year B.Ed (As per NCTE Norms)

  • Graduation with minimum 45% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in 1-Year B.Ed
  • Must be in accordance with norms of the
    National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)

✅ 4. Senior Secondary (50%) + 4-Year B.El.Ed

  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

✅ 5. Senior Secondary (50%) + B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed

  • Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of:
  • 4-Year B.A.Ed
  • 4-Year B.Sc.Ed
  • B.A/B.Sc.Ed Integrated Programme

✅ 6. Graduation (50%) + B.Ed / B.Ed Special Education

  • Graduation with minimum 50% marks
  • Passed OR appearing in 1-Year B.Ed
  • OR B.Ed (Special Education)

✅ 7. NCTE / RCI Recognized Teacher Education Programmes

Any candidate who has qualified a B.Ed programme recognized by NCTE is eligible to appear in CTET/TET.

As per NCTE Notification dated 23 August 2010 and guidelines issued on 11-02-2011:

  • Candidates pursuing any recognized teacher education course
  • Recognized by NCTE or RCI
  • Are also eligible to appear in CTET
  • (Subject to fulfillment of required academic criteria)

✅ 8. Post Graduation (55%) + Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed

  • Post Graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade
  • Passed OR appearing in final year of 3-Year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed Programme
